Hi, I'm Michael Wanguhu. Over 15 years ago, my production team and I had the opportunity to take artists M-1 of the legendary hip-hop duo Dead Prez and Umi of P.O.W. on a cultural tour through East Africa. What began as a music journey turned into something much deeper.

That experience led to Ni Wakati, a documentary exploring the bridge between Africans and African Americans, challenging misconceptions and creating genuine connections. Watching how profoundly that journey impacted them stayed with me.

Ever since, I've felt called to create a space where brothers and sisters from the diaspora could experience Kenya not as tourists, but as family. And now…
